Synopsis: Fairy tale fantasy. In prologue: A proud prince turns away an old beggar woman. She turns out to be a witch and as revenge she turns the prince into a monstrous beast. She gives him a rose and tells him that only if he can manage to be loved before the rose loses all its petals will he return to human form. Now, years later, Belle, the book-loving daughter of eccentric inventor Maurice is led through a series of events to the beast's castle...
