Synopsis: Based on the novel by Nick Hornby, set in London in the late 1980s, about an English teacher who is obsessed with the fortunes of the Arsenal football team, and his relationship with a young female colleague.Synopsis: Set in London in the late 1980s. Paul Ashworth is an English teacher at a North London comprehensive school where he meets and begins a relationship with fellow teacher Sarah. Their life together has to contend with Paul's inability to accept fatherhood, and his all-encompassing obsession with the ups and downs of Arsenal football club.
