Synopsis: Set in the early years of the Industrial Revolution, Gavin Dishart is the popular young minister of Thrums who tries to intervene when the weavers of the town react violently against their new mill machines which threaten their livelihoods and confront the redcoats. However, Gavin finds problems of another nature when a wild gypsy girl suddenly appears.
