Synopsis: Sponsored documentary on a race of the American Championship Car Racing series at the Brands Hatch circuit. The film shows the qualification for the Daily Mail Indy Trophy Race on Friday October 6th 1978, and the race the following day. Some of the drivers are interviewed discussing the challenges of the race and circuit compared to in the US. The race is started by Graham Hill's widow, Bette Hill, and the pace car is driven by Jackie Stewart. The 100-lap race on the newly christened "Indy Circuit" is won by Rick Mears, 2nd is Tom Sneva, 3rd Johnny Rutherford. The trophy is presented by Lady Rothschild.
