Synopsis: Documentary on early animation, including extracts from early animated films. Early animator Winsor Mccay created the comic strip 'Little Nemo' and went on to produce the first fully animated films. He would also perform vaudevillian dialogues while projecting his charachters on a screen. This act was filmed, and the programme includes footage of this from 1908. Animator Otto Messmer also talks about his creation of the first cartoon star, Felix the Cat.
