Synopsis: Alva Collins is married to a civil airline pilot, Evan, whose happiness and career she is constantly jeopardising by her malicious, psychopathic behaviour. Only Greg, her brother whom she has defrauded, knows her medical condition. Evan is injured in a car crash and whilst in hospital falls in love with his nurse, Rosemary. There is a showdown with Alva and she leaves the house having first dismissed her maid and the gardener who kept bees to which she is allergic. All the people directly involved with Alva wish her dead and one night a swarm of bees is let loose in her room. The next morning she is found dead from an overdose of sleeping pills, having left a suicide note wishing them happiness.
