- SynopsisA five-part unit of programmes highlighting individuals and events that affected the history of Wales in the 18th and 19th centuries. The storyteller, David Petersen, begins each adventure at the Post Office, where he collects a package holding vital clues that are used to gather information about the subject of the individual programme. Viewers are then led on a journey through time, illustrated by dramatic sequences, historical sites and artefacts. The theme of each programme is rooted in the past, but linked to children's present day experiences. The five programmes are: Jemima Nicholas: the last invasion of Britain; Mary Jones: the long journey to buy a bible; Twm Carnabwth: the Rebecca riots; Child Labour; Lady Llanover: the Welsh language and traditions.
