- SynopsisRomantic comedy. William Thacker is a young(ish) man who has a small bookshop in Notting Hill, and shares a flat with Spike, an unkempt Welshman. Nothing spectacular or exciting seems ever to happen to William - until the day that American superstar actress Anna Scott walks into his shop. William is naturally starstruck, but things would end there were it not for the fact that William subsequently accidentally spills his drink over Anna in the street. (Synopsis)
