- SynopsisFantasy comedy adventure. The four friends (Spencer, Fridge, Martha, and Bethany) who previously had an adventure inside the old video game 'Jumanji' have moved on from high school. Spencer (now a student in New York) feels very low that he and Martha have failed to maintain their relationship long-distance. The friends agree to meet up in their home town over the Christmas break, but Spencer fails to turn up to the coffee shop. The others look for him at his family home, where he is staying with his mother and his ill grandfather, Eddie, who has been trying to avoid the friendly approaches of his former business partner (and ex-friend) Milo. No one can explain Spencer's disappearance, until they realise that he has been in secret possession of 'Jumanji' and has entered the game again. Fearing Spencer will be stuck in the game forever, they decide to go in and rescue him, but the game sucks in Fridge, Martha, Eddie and Milo, leaving Bethany in the real world. The four inside the game have an adventure in the desert, being chased by a herd of vicious ostriches, before following clues to a dangerous city (where they meet Spencer in the avatar of a female thief called Ming), and on to a jungle where they have to get through a series of free-hanging rope bridges guarded by vicious monkeys, and finally to a forbidding fortress in the snowy mountains, where (aided by their old ally 'Seaplane', avatar of Alex whom they rescued in their previous adventure, and Bethany, in surprising equine avatar guise) they make their final push to steal a magic stone from a tyrant called Jurgen the Brutal and expose it to the sun's rays, to end the winter and misery of Jurgen's reign. During all this, the rescue party find themselves frequently bickering (and Eddie and Milo often find themselves hugely confused), and the confusion mounts as they find their avatar identities can be changed when they pass through certain magical waters.
