- SynopsisA 5-part unit of interactive music programmes featuring a character called Okey Cokey who, from her karaoke machine, tells stories and performs songs, encouraging viewer participation. A video screen links to guest musicians playing `live', and to short inserts exploring a range of sound sources. In each programme, Okey Cokey initiates musical ideas for viewers to develop, such as: a musical `vegetable soup' using word rhythms, creating a `toy symphony' and inventing a short line dance with a partner. Programme titles and themes are: `Anansi, cat and rat' animals, mini-beasts and clothes; `Building' where we live, sound and materials; `The Raja with big ears' senses, ourselves and people; `Toys' toys, games and families; `The Great big enormous turnip' seeds and plants, growing and food.
