- SynopsisComedy. Spoof documentary film following the travels of fictional Austrian fashion broadcaster Brüno. When his television show 'Funkyzeit' is cancelled he heads to LA, determined to become a major celebrity. We see him interact with real people, many of whom have no idea he is not real, and who react uneasily to his provocative behaviour. (Synopsis)
- Work historyThe opening Universal Studios logo is modified to read 'Üniversal Studios'. A scene in which Brüno attempts to get Michael Jackson's phone number from LaToya Jackson's mobile phone was deleted prior to release, following the death of Michael Jackson. In response to public demand, Universal International re-cut the film for a '15' (from '18') certificate for release in the UK & Eire.
