- SynopsisA five-part version of the pantomime story which uses an audience-participation format to present aspects of the music curriculum. Includes songs, ideas for composition, and opportunities for listening and appraising. Each programme emphasises one musical element. The programme titles and themes are: `To market, to market' Jack's mum's clock provides a regular beat, and Jack and Daisy the cow play a rhythm game whilst on their way to market; 'Up the beanstalk' Jack sings an ascending tune as he climbs the beanstalk and discovers high and low sounds in the land of giants; 'Oh lay, oh lay' features long and short sounds, as well as a tuneful tuba; 'I hear thunder' a magic harp accompanies a loud and quiet song; 'Run, run, as fast as you can' contrasts the giant's slow steady strides with Jack's fast, fearful footsteps.
