- SynopsisEpic romance set in the last days of World War II when Hitler attempted to take Stalingrad. Russian officer Danilov, realising the war is going badly, searches for a hero to lift the troops' morale. He finds this in a brilliant sniper, Zaitsev; but the relief is short lived as both men fall in love with the same woman. (Synopsis)
