- SynopsisMusical, involving the characters in the present day and in their youth, in the 1970s. In the present day, on the Greek island of Kalokairi, Sophie Sheridan sets about renovating her mother Donna's taverna, in a bid to make it a lovely hotel, Hotel Bella Donna. Friends and family are invited to the grand opening, which is threatened by a terrible storm. In 1979, young Donna leaves Oxford University and travels to Greece with her friends Tanya and Rosie, who have an act, performing as Donna and The Dynamos. Donna finds a place to set up a taverna and becomes pregnant by one of three men she has met, named Sam, Bill and Harry. (Synopsis)
