- SynopsisPeriod fantasy adventure. On 3 June 1916, a supply ship is torpedoed by a German U-boat. The survivors attack and take over the submarine when it surfaces. German Officer Dietz sabotages the compass so that they end up in Antarctica. Running low on fuel and supplies, the warring sides form an alliance in order to survive, and they agree to try to dock in what appears to be the mysterious southern continent of Caprona, which is only rumoured to exist. They venture under the ice and soon surface in a tropical land full of dinosaurs and primitive tribes. The rivers have oil in them, so the crews attempt to refine this to refuel the submarine for an escape. Tensions among the men, though, lead to unwanted trouble, and when the local volcano erupts, not everyone is aboard as the vessel flees through the now boiling waters. The survivors of all this write their story, seal it and throw it into the sea. (Synopsis)
