- SynopsisFuturistic action adventure. In a future earth where the landscape has been reduced to barren desert, civilization has broken down. A ruling ruthless warlord, Immortan Joe, who is hoarding the supply of water sends his best driver, Furiosa, on the latest mission to bring back a huge supply of petrol from a distant town (her lorry to be accompanied by assorted other vehicles, for security). Furiosa takes an unscheduled left turn, however, and heads out east across the desert. Her detour enrages Immortan Joe and he sends his forces to stop her. A long chase ensues, in which Furiosa and her secret cargo (of the warlord's unwilling brides) help and are helped by Max, a slave of Immortan Joe who is kept only for his supply of fresh blood. The warlord himself sets out to put an end to the challenge to his empire posed by this alliance of determined rebels. (Synopsis)
