This is the full recording of the original stage show, subsequently broadcast the following night in a 60 minute slot. No titles. Bill Miller Sextet seen on stage as David Jacobs comes on and gives a brief introduction (0.33). Frank Sinatra comes on stage to a music backing (1.05). Sinatra sings the following songs with little break between numbers and no talk to the audience: Goody Goody (2.14), Imagination (4.48), At Long Last Love (7.27), Moonlight in Vermont (10.52), Without a Song (13.57), Day In Day Out (16.45), The Moon was Yellow (19.53), I've Got You Under My Skin (21.53), I Get a Kick Out of You (26.17), The Second Time Around (29.09), Too Marvellous for Words (30.53), My Funny Valentine (33.44), In the Still of the Night (37.26), My Blue Heaven (39.29), April in Paris (42.15), You're Nobody 'til Somebody Loves You (46.14). Sinatra walks off stage to applause and returns carrying a cup of tea and a cigarette. He talks to the audience, introduces the members of the Sextet, and introduces the next section of the concert as `encores' (51.34). The following songs are all prefaced by spoken introductions from Sinatra: They Can't Take That Away From Me (53.10), All the Way (55.34), Chicago (58.23), Night and Day (1.02.34), Autumn Leaves (1.05.10), I Could Have Danced All Night (1.07.24), One for my Baby (1.13.00), A Foggy Day (1.15.28) [some picture wobble], Lady is a Tramp (1.18.29), Ol' Man River (1.22.39), You Make Me Feel So Young (1.25.19), Nancy with the Laughing Face (1.28.13), Come Fly With Me (1.30.35). Sinatra leaves the stage to applause. He returns, bows and goes off again. The band stops playing, the applause fades and people start to get out of their seats (1.33.04). Note 1: The programme is billed in the TV Times as Sinatra's "first ever personal appearance on British television". The concert took place in the presence of Princess Margaret and the Earl of Snowdon (not shown) and raised funds for the Invalid Children's Aid Association. The members of the Bill Miller Sextet are Harry Klee (saxophone), Emile Richards (vibraphone), Al Viola (guitar), Irving Cottler (drums), Ralph Peña (double bass) and Bill Miller (piano).
