- SynopsisIndia, 1880s. Rudyard Kipling receives a ragged visitor bearing a mysterious parcel, who explains that he is British soldier Peachy Carnehan. He tells Kipling of his journey with his fellow sergeant and friend Daniel Dravot from India through Afghanistan to the primitive wilds of Kafiristan. There they aimed to seek their fortunes and found a land where Dravot was crowned king, but with unexpected results, the proof of which is in his parcel. (Synopsis)
