- SynopsisSuperhero adventure. Maine lighthousekeeper's son Arthur Curry discovers that he is not a normal human, but half-human, half-Atlantean, amphibious and with enormous strength. In Arthur's childhood, his mother, Atlanna, was reclaimed by her underwater enemies. Dubbed 'Aquaman' by the media for heroics such as single-handedly taking an enemy submarine to task, he becomes involved in a quest to claim the throne of Atlanta from its would-be usurper, his power-mad half-brother Orm, who plans to stir up a war between the underwater kingdoms (which he is uniting for this purpose) and the land-based civilizations who pollute the oceans. Arthur becomes involved with Mera, a princess who opposes Orm. They follow a series of clues on land to find the location of a powerful weapon, Neptune's own legendary spear, which will be needed if Orm is to be defeated. In this search, back in the mysterious depths, they find help from an unexpected source. (Synopsis)
