- SynopsisThe second of four films by British artists, featuring characters from Linder's improvised 13-hour performance of The Dark Town Cakewalk: celebrated from the house of FAME (2010). Cinematography by Tim Walker and costumes by designer Richard Nicoll. (NFA Catalogue) Characters from Linder's improvised 13-hour performance "The Dark Town Cakewalk: Celebrated from the House of FAME" (2010) find themselves in a rose garden in Colchester and perform through this dream-like landscape. Echoing the three-minute duration imposed by manufacturing constraints onto seven-inch singles, this so-called 'spiral scratch' is reflected in the filmed choreography throughout the rose garden, and echoes the mystical spirals of Dante or the mythic site of Glastonbury Tor. ©Channel 4 publicity (Synopsis)
