- Synopsis"WAR IN THE MUD December rains and heavy transport traffic have made the fighting area in Flanders a sea of mud. Pathe Freres". A French horse-drawn artillery unit turns onto a country road and travels to camera - the road is wet and muddy. After passing the camera (action not seen) the unit parks and some of the soldiers alight. MS of mud-coated wheels. French motorcycle corps standing by their motor cycles beside a building with Flemish wording. A mud-splattered car and driver; MS car wheels caked in mud. "Machine gun captured from the Germans".
