- SynopsisAs part of the denazification process after World War II, the American occupying forces in Germany are preparing a trial against an ageing, celebrated conductor, Wilhelm Furtwangler. Although Furtwangler brought many Jewish musicians into his orchestra, saving them from certain death, he is suspected of having Nazi sympathies. An American major, with a black and white sense of justice, is assigned to investigate the case. (Synopsis)
