- SynopsisDrama. Annie-Mary lives with her domineering father in a small village in the Welsh valleys. Although she won a prestigious singing competition and a scholarship to Milan as a teenager, she stayed to be with her ailing mother who subsequently died. Fifteen years on, she stills lives with father - the local baker. After her father has a stroke she makes a bid for independence and tries to raise money for her teenage friend Bethan who is dying.
