- SynopsisLooks at life in the almost entirely middle-class enclave of Hampstead Garden Suburb, which was founded nearly 100 years ago by the Victorian philanthropist Dame Henrietta Barnett. Her vision of rescuing people from squalid housing in London's East End and installing them on a carefully planned estate where all classes could live in harmony has long since been abandoned. Highlights the controversy surrounding the proposal to impose an `eruv' around the area, a notional boundary which must not be crossed by orthodox Jews on the Sabbath. Rehearsals for an amateur dramatic production of `Murder in the Cathedral' are also featured.
