- SynopsisProduction footage for the OMNIBUS programe on Quentin Tarantino (tx. 25/10/94) of an interview with Tarantino. ...Continued from tape 12. Tarantino continues discussing the Sundance Institute and how Terry Gilliam, Stanley Donen, and Volker Schlondorff actually liked the test footage he had produced at the director's workshop, in opposition to what the previous observers had thought. He then discusses the success of the launch of RESERVOIR DOGS at a later Sundance Festival and at the Cannes Festival, and how it was the media response at both festivals that created his reputation. Tarantino expounds on the importance of promoting films and how his travelling the world to publicise RESERVOIR DOGS was important to the film's success. The visibility he himself attained through this would be important in the future selling of PULP FICTION to foreign territories. He then talks about his reaction to TRUE ROMANCE when it was finally made and the differences between his original script and the finished film. Discusses the autobiographical elements in the film. Begins to talk about his script for NATURAL BORN KILLERS, but how he hasn't yet seen Oliver Stone's film. Continued on tape 14. (NFA Catalogue)
