- SynopsisThriller set along the border zone of Europe in the year 2000. Europe's Eastern borders are under severe pressure. Civil war in the former Soviet Union has led to tide of refugees flooding to the West and public order is fragile. Detective Alex Fischer investigates the murder of a Danish woman whose body has been slashed from head to foot. Beside her are the words "we are crossing" written in Arabic. At first it appears to be a racist murder by an extreme Muslim sect but every line of enquiry draws a blank. Fischer then crosses swords with EUPOL, the new international border amnd immigration police, and they then turn on him. They charge him with the murder of a young refugee, so he goes on the run with another refugee Anna, in search of the truth. (Synopsis)
