- SynopsisPROPAGANDA - Advertising film. Animated advertisement for Lux soap flakes. In a clothes cupboard the designs on the fabrics include a clown, a ballerina, a pink elephant, a black jazz bassist and two fencers. The clown is sad because of the drabness of his clothes. He attempts to dance with the ballerina and the bass player, and is attacked by the fencers. In a fit of depression he attempts suicide by drowning, but the packet he jumps from is a Lux one: the soap flakes pour into the bowl with him and he emerges in bright colours, to new found popularity with his cupboard companions. "Lux Makes Clothes Last Longer" (525 ft). (Shotlist)
