- SynopsisBasil Dibley is in sore financial straits, and has given up his Mayfair flat. He accepts a position in Penang, one of the conditions of acceptance is that he must be married. His flat is taken by Rosalie Quiter, a pretty girl about to be married, and moves into it the afternoon that Basil is to go out. Returning home that night, or rather early in the morning, considerably elated, Basil tumbles into his bed, the other twin bed being occupied by the lady. Later the two young people discover the compromising circumstances under which they spent the night, which embarrasment is intensified when Cuthbert, the prospective bridegroom calls to make final arrangements for the wedding. But Rosalie and Basil have fallen in love and Rosalie refused to go further with her marriage to Cuthbert. It happens that Basil's Uncle in New Zealand dies at a very convenient time, leaving Basil a large estate and title which he promptly asks Rosalie to share. (Synopsis)
